This Privacy Policy explains how GEXMAP LLC (“Gexmap,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you visit gexmap.com, join our waitlist or newsletter, or use the Gexmap platform and community (together, the “Services”).
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address and login credentials (passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text).
- Waitlist and newsletter: your email address and first name when you sign up.
- Billing: your name, billing address and payment details. Payments are processed by Stripe; we receive confirmation of payment and limited card details (such as card brand and last four digits), never your full card number.
- Community: if you connect Discord, your Discord user ID and username, so we can give your account access to the private server.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or through support.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: pages and features used, IP address, browser and device type, and log data, for security, troubleshooting and improving the Services.
- Browser storage: the platform saves your layouts and settings in your browser (local storage) and uses session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use information
- To provide, operate and secure the Services, including one active session per account.
- To process payments, manage subscriptions and send receipts and account notices.
- To give subscribers access to our Discord community and remove it when a subscription ends.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To send the waitlist and newsletter emails you signed up for (you can unsubscribe at any time from any email).
- To understand how the Services are used and improve them.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Services, under contracts that limit their use of it, and when the law requires:
- Payments: Stripe.
- Email: Kit (ConvertKit) for the waitlist and newsletter, and our business email provider.
- Hosting and data: our website, application, server and database hosts.
- Community: Discord, when you connect your account.
- Legal: when required by law, to protect our rights or users, or in a merger, sale or reorganization of the business (the buyer would be bound by this policy).
Data retention
We keep account information while your account is active and for as long as needed afterward to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and restricted access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
- You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.
- You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or for a copy of it, by emailing info@gexmap.com. We will verify the request and respond within the time the law requires.
- Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights. We will not discriminate against you for using them.
Children
The Services are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
International users
We are based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the new version here with a new date and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
